Since you've read this far, I'd like to leave you with some final thoughts. Being a Big Brother is not always easy. It forces you to take a look at how you were raised and what beliefs you hold on to. It forces you to re-think your position on many tough social issues. It is sometimes a large chunk of time out of an already short weekend, but it can also serve as an excellent excuse to ride the rides at a carnival, go to the ball game, or hit that favourite fishing spot.
There are so many kids out there who don't have a male roll model that would benefit from a mentoring program such as Big Brothers. If you have any interest in becoming a Big Brother (or Big Sister), You may want to look into your local Big Brother/big sister program. You won't regret it.
